My painting Fuck Session is part of the group exhibition Chemistry at Peninsula from May 17th through June 29th. I created this work during my two-week residency at The Macedonia Institute in Chatham, New York as a way to celebrate the excitement and intimacy of new love back home.

Here’s an excerpt from the gallery,

“Peninsula is pleased to present Chemistry, an expansive group show featuring 20+ multidisciplinary artists. In the convivial spirit of the approaching Summer season, Peninsula asked 11 gallery affiliated artists to invite one other artist of their choosing as their partner to join them in exhibiting artwork. The guidelines for the invitations were kept intentionally loose. Participants were given the discretion to curate in pieces they felt corresponded well with their own bodies of work, works by artists to whom they have an already established relationship, or art that just simply caught their attention. Through this process, the exhibition aims to capture the aura of a playfully eclectic “block party,” imbued with a sense of controlled chaos. Each artwork will be allowed to organically intermingle, clash, connect, and harmonize within this sprawling context.”
